Frequently Asked Questions

  • What types of therapy do you offer?

At Third Wave, we provide therapy for individuals aged 16 and older. We use evidence-based behavioral, mindfulness- and acceptance-focused approaches to support individuals through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. While all our providers share similar backgrounds and orientations, we all have different approaches and specializations. Take a look at our providers page for what we each offer.

  • How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy varies from person to person, and we will come up with a treatment plan for your individual needs. Some individuals find benefit after just a few sessions, while others may continue long-term. We’ll collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals. Therapy is always voluntary, and you can discontinue at any time.

  • Do you take insurance?

Yes, we are in-network with Presbyterian, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United, Medicare and most Medicaid plans. You are responsible for verifying benefits and for any co-pays, deductibles, or fees based on your specific plan. Self-pay rates vary based on type of service and provider.

  • How do I become a new patient?

To get started, just complete our contact form. Someone from our team will reach out within a week to provide more information and help with scheduling.
