About the Practice:
Third Wave Psychotherapy is a psychotherapy practice grounded in third wave behavioral approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Our clinicians are committed to offering individually tailored, evidence-informed care that supports clients in developing psychological flexibility, cultivating self-compassion, and moving toward meaningful, values-aligned lives.
We serve a diverse range of patients and work with presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, and emotional regulation. Position Overview:
We are seeking licensed (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, PhD, PsyD) pre-licensed therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience or strong interest in third wave psychotherapy approaches and a commitment to providing client-centered, culturally responsive care. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and caseload, with opportunities for remote, in-person, or hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual psychotherapy (and/or group therapy, if desired) using third wave approaches such as ACT, DBT, EFT, or mindfulness-based modalities
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards
- Participate in team consultations, case discussions, and optional peer supervision
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training aligned with third wave practices
Required Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted clinical license in New Mexico (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, or Psychologist)
Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
OR: Pre-licensed clinician working on their licensure in social work or counseling.
Strong clinical skills and familiarity with evidence-based practices
Experience or interest in third wave modalities (ACT, DBT, EFT, mindfulness-based CBT, etc.)
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
